We'll start with the basics.
You'll learn the terminal, files, permissions, networks, and the mental models underneath them—without being made to feel behind.
You do not need to know Linux, own a home lab, or understand cybersecurity jargon. You just need curiosity. I'll teach you the rest—personally.

I'll be your tutor for every session.
Most training assumes you already know what to learn. HackerTutor is for people who need someone to make the path clear.

We turn a vague goal into practical next steps. No giant content library and no guessing which tutorial should come next.

TIMOTHYGood. Let's slow down and read it together.
You have a real person watching your process, answering questions, and changing the explanation until it clicks.
We meet on Discord. With your permission, I connect to your computer so we can share the screen and work inside my private labs. It feels more like sitting beside each other than watching a lecture.

Your labs are selected and adjusted around your progress. You won't be dropped into an advanced machine before the fundamentals make sense, and you won't be held back when you're ready for more.
Not just whether you got the answer.
More support when you need it. Less when you don't.
The goal is skill you can use without me.

HackerTutor is just me. I'm Timothy Ericsson, an American cybersecurity professional, and I teach every student myself.
Before HackerTutor, I ran the now-retired cybersecurity company 12 Security LLC. We discovered the Wyze data exposure and reported it responsibly. That work was covered by Forbes, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and other publications.
When you reach out, I read your message. When we train, I'm on the other side of the screen. I'll know what you worked on last time, what clicked quickly, and where we need to take another approach.
You are not joining a cohort or buying access to a content library. You are hiring one person to pay attention and help you become capable.
Fifty private sessions gives us room to build real foundations, practice repeatedly, and work toward the goal that matters to you.

No. You can start with no security background at all. Timothy will meet you at your current level and build the fundamentals with you before expecting you to attack anything.
That is completely fine. Those are teachable skills, not entry requirements. You will learn them through guided practice with someone there to explain what each step means.
No. Those certifications can be useful destinations, but the training starts with practical skill. You can join because you want a first security role, a stronger foundation, or simply a clear place to begin.
Timothy Ericsson teaches every session. HackerTutor has no tutor pool, assistants, or rotating contractors. The person you contact is the person who trains you.
The complete 50-session program is $2,200. Please contact Timothy before purchasing so you can talk through your goals, ask questions, and make sure the program is the right fit for you.
Say hello and tell me what made you curious about cybersecurity. It's fine if you don't know your exact goal yet—that's something we can work out together.
